Mounting the Bed

There is slightly more than eight feet from the cab to the rear cross brace, but if the brace is pushed forward it works out perfectly:

The bottom side of the plywood showing the carriage bolts connected to the braces and frame:

The left side of the bed has the worst lip of the entire bed, but it still rests on the plywood:

I had enough room by pushing the rear brace forward to fit a 6 foot piece of 1.5 inch square pre-drilled steel:

I used some angle brackets to reinforce the sides:
